The Bundersverband für studentische Raumfahrt (BVSR for short) was founded in 2021 with the aim of better connecting the many associations and student initiatives spread across Germany and strengthening cooperation on cross-association projects. The BVSR now comprises 14 associations, from Munich to Berlin, and associations from Switzerland and Austria are now also members. The clubs work on a wide variety of projects, ranging from rockets to rovers to satellites. These projects are realized by the currently 1400 members of the individual clubs. All of these students are highly committed to the topic of aerospace and are also driving research in this area. This is demonstrated by the more than 22 scientific publications that have been published by members of the BVSR since 2022.

The BVSR Conference was held in Munich for the first time in 2022. The conference offers the individual members of the associations the opportunity to attend interesting workshops and lectures on site. Furthermore, the students have the opportunity to network with each other or with companies in the industry and thus strengthen cooperation between the student associations. This year's conference will take place in Aachen from 29.05.2025 to 01.06.2025. An important feature of the conference is the Student Space Forum. This year, we will present all BVSR associations to the Aachen students and, if applicable, to the Aachen public. In parallel, there will also be the opportunity to listen to presentations from start-ups in the ESA Business Incubation Center and other companies from the industry. Through the forum, we want to show Aachen's students and the wider public in Aachen what has been achieved by students in the space sector. In this way, we want to encourage more students to get involved in student associations related to space travel and thus strengthen Aachen's position in the space sector.
